can you insure a financed car that is registered at another address?
I'm financing a car and I used my home address,but I want to insure it at my cousin address because I could save $130 a month. Can a dealer register the car this way

- The insurance carrier is going to want to know where the car is usually kept in order to determine how much risk is involved in insuring the car. This is a different matter from the address you give to DMV for the registration. You can lie on your insurance application, but if you have an accident you are likely to be found out. Don't do it.
