  1. Check on line and see what the insurance company feels are low risk cars, choose from there
  2. THE CHEAPEST CAR MAY NOT BE THE CAR THAT YOU WANT. ANY 1992 TO 1998 4-DOOR VEHICLE WILL BE PRETTY CHEAP WITH ONLY LIABILITY ON IT. CHECK WITH THE BOARD OF INSURANCE WHICH IS ON LINE AND THIS WAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE FIRST HAND ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES INCLUDING THEIR RATINGS AS WELL AS HOW THEY PAY AND TREAT CONSUMERS AND MAYBE BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOU.
  3. I don't think there is a cheap car to insure for a 16 yr old. Just do not get a sports car even if its an older model.
  4. A bike
  5. a corgi one is quite cheap
  6. A Riley 1.5, in the Dinky range
  7. ranault clio not sport / fiat panda/ go on www.motors.co.uk for best prices...
  8. you want some thing like a corsa nothing more that a 1.3 or a little saxo just some thing like that nothing to big as the insurance will hammer you when i was driving i was on the l plates first and after i past my test it brought it down for me
  9. This site might help it shows the insurance group for most cars. 1 is the cheapest 20 is the most expensive. www.motor-car-insurance-uk.co.uk/ my car insurance cost me £566 on my mums insurance for a citroen saxo 1.1 when I was 17
  10. definately a four door car and not very new. but most choices will be very expensive for newly licensed drivers under 25. you might get a little discount when you turn 21. also the location of your residence. big city, rich city (beverly hills) things like that. but spend lots of time on the phone with insurance companies. call all from the phone book. what's cheap for your parents might not be the right company for you.
  11. You'll need to look at the smallest engined variants of cars like Ford Ka, Fiat Panda/Punto, Citroen C1/C2, Vauxhall Corsa etc. Shop around for a good quote, a 22 year-old mate of mine was quoted between £400 and £1900 for a Citroen C2 when he passed his test last year! It's a pain in the *ss having to go through the same questions with every company you phone, and set aside a whole morning to do it, but you could see quite a difference.
