  1. elephant.co.uk is really good.
  2. Ladas are cheap to insure. They don't do much damage when they hit another vehicle and they are cheap to replace.
  3. whaaaaa are they allowed to drive at 16! you need to have a provisional licence, you can apply for at 17. The cheapest cars would be the ones with the smallest engines like a 998cc.... Fiesta, or Fiat punto something like that.
  4. a smart car probably would have a low insurance group
  5. That depends on a couple of things. If the car is newer and financed, your insurance will be more expensive than if the car is bought outright. For example. When I was 17 (i am only 21 now) i owned a mustang gt sports car. i bought it outright though and its insurance was 97 a month. A couple years later i owned a pickup truck that was financed my insurance was 290 a month. Right now i own a brand new financed pickup that the insurance is 150 a month on but it is under my parents name. There are tons of factors that are different. but for a more direct answer, a vehicle that is 4 door is usually a little cheaper insurance wise. also vehicles with higher safety ratings. and if they have theft systems installed those are all generally cheaper than say a sports car or a big SUV nissan altimas honda civics volkswagon jettas ford focus these are generally cheaper insurance wise.
  6. Citroen C1. Group 1 ins. plus very economical, yet nippy!
  7. try an 1100 fiesta or focus, spares are cheap too
  8. http://www.parkers.co.uk/insurance Groups 1-20 1 - cheapest 20 - dearest Always before buying the car do a insurance quote.
  9. hi opel vectra is very cheap in terms of as a second hand car,and in terms of spare parts. you can get one for (nice one) £600 max. it is in insurance group 6, which is not to bad. get 1.6 LS. it is the bottom of the range but it really is very good and practical car.
  10. You arent allowed to drive until you are 17
  11. There is no particular car specified. But Do NOT buy the old model Vauxhall Corsa, they are rubbish. Try looking at a Volkswagen Fox, Polo, or Golf.
  12. why dont you wait untill you have passed a test then se what insurance costs
