One with a small engine..Look for 1L....Corsa,micra.Something like that.
Depends how old you are, if your young you wanna stick to a small engined car, the more powerful ann sporty, the more insurance you will pay.

As a general rule, the smaller the engine the cheaper it is to insure but you should find out the insurance group if possible. Group 1 is the cheapest to insure, next group 2 and so on
Small engine, but also the age of the car. I had a 93 clio 1.4 and I paid less than what I pay now for my 04 corsa 1L. You wanna do a search on confused.com to get the cheapest quote.
I know it wouldn't cost much to insure a 1982 Chevy Chevette. I think most insurance companies start with the book value of the car as a baseline. Normally, anything fast or in the sporscar category is higher. 4 cylinder 4 door family type cars are at the lower end of the price range.
depends what insurance group they are. its 1-14.....and a citreon saxo 1.4 is group 5, whereas a suburu is a 11-13. also, whether the cars is japonese. go for vauxhall and citreon. parts r cheap, insurance is good and generally good for fuel.

If you are in Britain it works like this. First. The size of engine...Smaller the cheaper. Second. Age and experience.......over 25 is cheaper. Third. Postcode......there are bad postcodes for car crime. Fourth. NCD. (No claims discount) up to 70% depending. I once insured someone with a rural Wales postcode and driving a Corsa for £70.00..... FULLY COMPREHENSIVE!!. I also insured someone in Liverpool and driving a Micra for £1400.00 .....THIRD PARTY ONLY. Just ring round the Insurance companies and ask for a free quote.
Group 1 cars are the cheapest, the only cars i know of that are in this group are the Toyota's aygo and Citroen's c1.

any small engined car some ideas, ford ka group 2-3, ford fiesta group 4-5, ford escort group 6-7, fiat punto group 3, fiat brava-bravo group 4-5 any small engined fiat is low on insurance,corsa group 3-4 ,saxo group 3-5 depending on age!,Clio group 3-5 also depending on age to name just a few! the one i bought my daughter was a fiat punto she is 21 and learning to drive in it her insurance is £888.00 a year fully comp not bad the insurance company is link and only insures woman,she get the first 6 months for £488 and if no claims have been made they will give her a years no claims bonus after the 6 months she gets the next 6 months for £400 and after that if no claims have been made they will give her another years no claims this will make her insurance a lot cheaper next year this is the best i have seen and for the men direct line are the cheapest around. hope this helps and good luck and also don't forget the tax is only £110 a year on these smaller cars and i can say fiat repair bills are cheaper to.
Lower the Group Number the cheaper the quote. Go for a Ford Ka/Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa etcwith a small engine (i.e. 1.0/1.3etc) which will be around group 3 or 4. Own a house with a garage. If the car is garaged you will save substantially. Live in a nice area. In Cardiff (street parking) I pay - close as dammit - a grand. In W'Wales (garaged) it would be about £200 cheaper. In Liverpool (on the street) it would be almost double!)
