my car was stolen and then found with body damage on both sides of the car. Can I fight insurance for writeoff
I have a 2004 subaru wrx sti. With the condition and milage it had before the accident rough value on autotrader is 27,000. Even after repair and I try to either trade it in or sell it I dont think I will get back the same amount of money for a car that has stolen/repaired on its title. Can i fight for diminished car value in ontario, canada? I am insured with TD insurance. I do not know how the car was driven while stolen nor any parts they may have tampered with and I do not feel safe driving this car anymore. I dont think they will write it off as the value of the car is high but I definitely do not think it's the same car even after repair and want to sell it or trade it in. Does anyone have similar experiences?

- If she does have a full car insurance should ake of it need to see her ins agent about it
- do you have a police report? If so call your insurance provider, tell them they will comeout and look and estimate the car. then they will either write you a check right then and there, you will get it in the mail. thats how they do it in Raleigh, NC. (I do think you have to have full coverage on that car from the time of the accident, to now. or just the time of accident.) I really know that one. Good Luck!!!!!
- Stolen or repaired shouldn't show up on a title search. Ask ins. co. if they'll buy it out. Add on the settlement doc. "subject to mechanical damage".
- Sounds to me like it really screwed you in this deal. Maybe you could get good luck here.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/auto-insurance.htm
- No, you cannot ask them to write it off. If that was the case, everyone could get their car declared a total loss & get their loan paid off. They don't care that you don't feel "comfortable" driving it. They will pay the cost to repair the veh minus your deductible. On the title, it will not show up as stolen or repaired. Only way they'll know you had an accident is if they do a Carfax vehicle search.
