i am tryin to buy this car but i dont know what this person is talking about i think itss big time spammmm i am pastin exact words that person said to me: As I told you in my last email we will use eBay Safe Pay to manage the payment because it's the safest way for both of us . eBay Safe Pay is responsible to insure that both parties comply to transaction requirements, both parties must submit proof of payment/delivery presented in a legal form (payment/delivery receipt) by the registered payment/delivery service used. You will have to arrange the payment to a verified agent from eBay ( $ 3.500 ).They will hold the founds until you receive the car and also test it!!! As soon as you'll complete the payment ,the shipping will start using DAS Auto Shippers. It will take no more then 3 days to arrive at your home address.(I'll pay the shipping).I offer 10 days for inspection,during this time,if the vehicle isn't like i described (although this will never happen,because the car is go) these are the last lines: Shipping back to my location will be paid by me,again,I'm telling you this will never happen!!! If this is OK with you please reply with your permission and let me know if you are interested in knowing more details about this purchase so that I can open a transaction with eBay and move forward with this deal. Why consummate a transaction which gives you so much umbrage?
Right on eBay's site, it tells you up front: We do not get involved on any transaction. This is a VERY widespread scam. If you send ANY money, it will be lost. Do not answer them, do not give them any info, and above all: DO NOT send any money. I know the price is probably too good to be true, and you want this to be legit, but it's not.
If you feel it is a scam, don't do it. Sounds shady to me. A lot of places ask to send Money orders to odd names or agents that can't be traced to them, and then they steal your money. Don't do it...
You don't have to worry. He or she can't do anything with only your name. Just don't buy the car. Plain and simple. I don't like to encourage dishonesty, but you can make up any excuse you want to. Say you just changed your mind. It is better to lie than to make a several thousand dollar mistake. Protect yourself FIRST. Your feelings of anxiety are probably there for a reason- you already know the answer. Don't make any decisions in life based upon emotions. We make mistakes that way. Just walk away from this car. i suggest you forget about this.... you can buy a car from a news paper ad.. and be just as safe.. if i had a car for sale. you look at it .. i will give you a test ride of 10 miles.. and then i will show you the title.. you give me the cash i will sign the title and thats that.. i would not deal with e bay they get all kinds of money with their hidden programs.. and if something should happen you will never get in touch with them again.. tip there are hundreds of cars sitting on the side of the road for sale.. nothing wrong with them people have just overburdended themself with dept.. just take another week look in this sunday paper.. i think you will be pleased with what you find.. ok..
There is no ebay safe pay. Anyone telling you that they will let you test the car for a couple days is totally trying to scam you. THIS IS A SCAM, REPORT IT TO EBAY.
You know this is a scam. Your gut is right This has been going on for a long time. The seller is talking about eBay "Safe Pay" which does not exist - at least as an eBay entity. eBay does not handle money in any transactions - including their own auctions. Check this forum. This scam has been posted in here at least once a day for the last couple months. Keep your money.
Hi, we just went through buying a used car, and there are SO many scams-- shipping a car is a sure sign that it is a scam! This has good info on how to spot a scam- http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.html Be very careful- especially on Ebay and Craigslist. We ended up finding a car being sold by a private party on Autotrader.com. Another good thing to do is sign up for Autocheck or Carfax http://www.autocheck.com/?nf=3&nf=4&siteID=0&WT.mc_id=0 http://www.carfax.com/ We did this, and I checked the VIN (the car's ID, a 17 digit # ). You can sign up for a month or more unlimited reports. Then you look at the car's history, you can see if someone is selling a car that was in a wreck, and saying it is 'perfect' etc. Another big scam on Ebay & Craigslist is you see a car with a perfect Carfax being sold for half of what it's worth- well guess what, the person advertising the car doesn't even own it, they just take a picture of a random nice car in a mall parking lot, copy the VIN. and try to get you to give them a few hundred or thousand dollars to 'ship' it to you. Good luck! trust your gut and ask lots of questions on here- lots of knowledgable car people on here.

THIS IS A SCAM THIS WEEKEND I FOUND AN AD THE EXACT AD ON CRAIGSLIST IN HOUSTON TEXAS WHAT BULL I GOT THE SAME EMAIL JUST SHE SAID SHE IS NO LONGER AT HOME IN hOUSTON TEXAS SCAM SCAM THIS IS HORRIBLE I CANT BELIEVE THESE DAMN PEOPLE.
I received the exact same email. Word for Word. I'm a big ebayer and I forwarded the quote "EBAY email" to ebay and they confirmed that this is a scam email. Do not send any money!
I believe Linda Gorson is a scam... We were trying to but the same car. tell me, was it a 2006 honda accord? because we were gonna pay 3,500 for it. She sent the same EXACT email to me!
I did the same thing and I feel violated even tho I haven't sent any money but the fact that I even emailed "linda gorson". What a piece of trash. Are we sure this person can't get to us by us emailing them???
