What is the best way to get speed off the line with a rear wheel drive car with automatic transmission?

The car is a 91 Camaro V8

1. Gear it. Also maybe an rv cam so it kicks in sooner.

4. Put it in low gear and shift it as you go. If you are looking to change parts a shift kit wont cost to much and can help alot, the best thing to do is change the torque converter and the rear end gears but this will make the car less highway friendly. And with gas prices the way they are I dont think thats a great idea if this is your daily driver

6. The no cost answer is to put it in low then lock the brakes with your left foot and then floor it with your right foot and then release the brake, i.e. lift of your left foot.
