Best Cars to Insure

What are fun cheap cars to drive?

What are some fun cars to drive that are in the 4k-6k price range. Doesn't really matter how old(prefer 90's). Not looking to drag or do quarter miles. Just want a fun car that is pretty fast to drive in everyday situations.

  1. '99 civic is a fun little car. Cheap as dirt too.
  2. Ford KA. I bought one from new, really nippy and fast. Or Golf GT TDi, well fast
  3. Personally, id prefer a bug, so cute, affordable and if you get lucky enough like my bro did, get the turbo diesel one, saves sooooo much gas. He went for a ten hour drive on one tank. Totally savvy
  4. I like the 94 Mazda rx-7, as well as the Mitsubishi 3000gt.
  5. Celicas have a nice ride. Camaros have good pickup. Even an older Mustang.
  6. There's plenty of fun stuff from the 90s available for 5 grand. If all you want is pure driving pleasure and don't care about noise or a back seat, nothing beats a Miata. It's so agile it feels like a part of your body, and was pretty much the only cheap rear-wheel-drive car back then besides the Mustang and Camaro. You can probably pick up a 99 Miata (first year of the second generation) for $5K http://vlane.com/research/1999/Mazda/Miata If you want something more practical (and can drive a stick), the 99-00 Civic Si is almost as fun. High-revving engine, great shifter, and like the Miata, gets near 30 MPG. http://vlane.com/specifications/1999/Honda/Civic-Si-Coupe/Manual-specifications If you want lots of low-end power and like doing burnouts, you could also go the other way and try a Mustang GT. Once again, the good stuff starts in 1999, the year it got the 260-horsepower V8 and the sharp-looking bodystyle everyone liked. Looks better than the new Mustang if you ask me. http://vlane.com/specifications/1999/Ford/Mustang/2dr-Cpe-GT-specifications If you're ready to shop for any of these, visit http://vlane.com/vfinder Hope this helps.
  7. Camaro's are always a good bet if you are looking to enjoy a ride anywhere you drive. Bought my 94 z28 for $3,000 and have put just over $600 in it. Absolutely no problems, no leaks, tranny runs smooth. If you aren't looking for a V8 and 15 MPG, go with a Camaro RS or a base Camaro. Easy to maintain, plenty of information on how to fix them or soupe them up. Base / RS Camaros get around 23 MPG.
  8. Mercedes diesels.I run mine on free wvo.
