  1. I wouldn't risk it there are a billlllion frauds on craigslist now. Call western union and check it out but i'm about 99% thats a fake. My dad went through the same crap and called the bank and found out it was fake.
  2. Unless you are buying a vintage or one of a kind car. Don't risk it, there are plenty of vehicles in your local area where you can look at them in person.
  3. Craigslist is divided up by city for a reason. You buy locally so that you can inspect the car, and take possession as soon as the seller has your money. The fact that you're trying to deal with someone via Craigslist and they are not in your local area makes it better than 50/50 it's a scam. The fact that they're asking you to use Western Union makes it 100 percent. This is a scam. DO NOT SEND MONEY. Oh, and you are not buying a car from Craigslist. Craigslist doesn't sell cars. All they sell is advertisements in a handful of markets. People who advertise on Craigslist sell cars.
  4. Really, you should have had this straight in your mind before you made the transaction...
  5. Its a scam and don't do it.
  6. Sounds fishy. eBay even says do NOT use Western Union money transfers to buy big ticket items, they are not guaranteed. The other thing, unless it is purchased on the eBay site, eBay has nothing to do with the sale, so there is no buyer protection or recourse you can take through eBay. Look closer to where you live, or make the trip to FL yourself and purchase the car in person. If she says no to that, then for sure it's a scam.
  7. The Western Union / Ebay thing sounds like a scam since you are using Craigs list. Don't do it. If you send money via Western Union chances are it and the woman will be in the wind with no recourse. Go look for another car closer to home that you can deal with the seller face to face.
