Can I insure my car in the city my college is located instead of where my house is?
I go to college in a much safer city then I live in so my car insurance rate would be a lot lower. The car is parked at the school from late august to early may so basically 9 out of 12 months or 3/4s of the year. Can i use my college address as the garaging location or do I have to use my primary residential address that is on my license even though my car is only there 3 months of the year?

- You likely would have that option, but you are then declaring you are a resident, so your driver licence would have to be changed as well.
- It depends on your insurance company and their rules. You need to ask them. I know that you can if you change your official PERMANENT residency to where you go to school.
