Best Cars to Insure

WHY?? Do our youngsters get punished more for bad driving??

With the new drivers act youngsters get six points if accumulate that they get banned .. Ok so shouldn't do it but here's my point i'm 33 got clean license but know someone with 17 points They get a days course to keep license and even drink drivers can reduce a ban by doing these!! The kids these days pay more to learn more for tests and more to insure cars and if keep to what told are far better drivers than when my age group took their tests!! Now my point is if the government is serious about reducind road deaths etc surely the punishments should go across the board if someone my age is repeatedly speeding jumpimg lights etc they deserve a ban AND TO DO the course!! However they get days corse because might lose their job.... sorry but tough they did the crime not us... Doing this the roads would be safer clearere and we'd reduce emmissions... Any ideas how to convince the powers that be STATISTICS can show what they want if young person involved doesn't mean it's their fault I don't disagree with DES below but as traffic op should know had one in car other day he was astonished at how many older drivers were worse when he wasn't seen... It not question of whether they drive badly after but why not be harsher on everyone set examples and stick to it. Highway code is rule book not advice so EVERYONE should be just as culpable

  1. i think the idea is to nip it in the bud early, but as your own experience shows there is reckless drivers of all ages. But you could try the goverments petitions page i will send link http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Comm-Sentencing/DfwOjWD3XltKBtRxeSBAptX
  2. Statistically, younger drivers have the most accidents. I think the harsher punishments are to educate and train them as to what a good driver should be.
  3. You're nuts. First you're nuts about what is actually happening and your also nuts 'cos you want the government to do something about it. Why don't you do a CORSE? Don't you know that governments never do anything except produce greenhouse gases by talking shit all the time........................................I think there's an environmentally friendly idea taking shape here.............................!
  4. Because blowhards think it is kids that are the big problem on the road but it is women and drunks, and maybe some old people too. Like the one who almost ran me off the road yesterday. Then she kept rolling down the road like nothing happened. I almost flipped my car because of that bitch.
  5. I know a young driver who had points about 18 months after he had passed his test He had his licence taken off him he had to resit his theory and practical test again which is fair enough but those 6 points also went onto his new driving licence which i don't think was fair he had learnt his lesson so he still has 6 points on his licence
  6. To answer your question just go and stand at any busy junction and see these sweethearts driving. The first thing they do when, and if they pass their driving test, is to throw the Highway Code and every thing they have been taught out the window, then higher the radio as loud as they can. There are more young drivers killed and maned on our roads than any body else. Just bloody showing off to their mates. I am an ex Traffic policeman, the number of times I stopped some kid and asked them "Did you drive like that on your driving test", enough said.
  7. Young drivers are the worst drivers, because experience takes time. They are reckless to road hazards and cannot read the road and potential hazards like an experienced driver would anticipate in advance. This is borne out by statistics and the fact older drivers pay less insurance and young drivers have a far more expensive premium to pay. ex BSM instructor and test examiner
