Is my car safe to drive with an evap emission control system purge code p0441?

- Yes, Some vehicles use this system to clear the catylist of carbon deposits. It just means it's heating the catylist more than usual to clear itself.
- lol Wrong nah get it sorted soon you can end up melting the cat and causing more damage also the fuel consumption will be high! you can drive it but i would limit the usage of the car untill u get it sorted a cats guna be expensive
- You can get a evap code if you forgot to put your gas cap on or didn't tighten it all the way. Check that and if that's it you will need to erase the code with a scanner or take it in to erase it.
- OK first the evap system has nothing to do with the cat the evap system is the evaporativ fuel vapor recover system what it does is recover fuel vapors from the fuel tank to keep them from escaping into the atmosphere it is completely safe to drive and no damage can occur to your car it is emissions related only you do need to fix it for the environment and to pass inspection in some states and you will need to have the light turned off by a tech if you find you left the gas cap off or loose put it on and the light will go off after 60 drive cycles that means the computer must see the evap system ok 60 time before it will turn off the light
