Is it safe to drive a car that has a worn out brake rotar?
All the other rotars were good.

- Sure...just cut a big hole in the floor so you can drag your feet to stop......
- for a very limited time....fix it soon.
- Only if you like doing the Fred Flintstone.
- Technically, no. But if you're not hearing grinding metal, then you have some time before you must change it or get it resurfaced.
- No it's not safe. Get a brake job done promptly before you have an accident. Midas and several other brake shops will do you a good job at a reasonable cost and guarantee the work.
- If only 1 is bad ,then you may also have a sticky caliper.Change them both.So you dont wear out the new rotor when you do change it.
- i own a repair shop,,and no its not safe to drive like that,if that one is bad the others may be getting as bad as it is,,id have it repaired before it caused me to have an accident and maybe hurt someone,or your self,,it really is dangerous to drive like that,,i hope you get it repaired as soon as possible, good luck,i hope this help,s.
- no it is not safe you need to fix that asp well that is if you are fond of stoping
- WHY OU ASK A DUM QUESTION WHEN YOU KNOW IS NOT SAFE WHEN IS TIME TO STOP YOU ARE GOING TO CRASH GO FIX THAT CAR THEY ARE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE
- Sure, just throw the transmission into reverse if you can't slow down fast enough.
- Depends....has it cut itsself in half yet, is it cracked, or are we talking about just a warped rotor? It's OK to drive on a warped rotor, just get it fixed when you can, you may end up doing damage to your tires or other brake components in the long run, but it should be OK to drive 5 to 10 thousand miles. Good luck.
- It is perfectly safe, as long as you don't have to slow down or stop.
- I don't think it's gonna kill you, but it isn't gonna make things any safer and it's noisy.
- If by worn out you mean that it is getting thin, then get a new one soon. If by worn out you mean it just shakes when you go to stop, have it resurfaced. If it was only the one side you need to have them check for a sticking caliper or a hose that is collapsing, either one can cause the brake to hang on that side and your new rotor and pads won't last long.
