  1. yes you need to take it to a garage sounds like your abs is disabled.
  2. when the ABS flashes/illuminated this is to warn of a fault. with the engine running try turning the key forward as some cars have a reset, as it may of just tripped out. you brakes will work as normal but without the ABS part, so if you brake to hard you will skid. go get it checked, it is there to preserve life, not just a gadget.
  3. NO NO NO!!!!!!! Get it check ASAP!! When it come to the brakes everyone on the road is at risk!!!!. It maybe nothing but you will never know on till it is checked out. If you live in the US Auto zone can tell you what the lights are all about,
  4. 99% ok, its proberly just a loose connection, quite common with ford & vauxhalls, try fix it youself as garages will rip you & try n sell you a whole load of stuff you dont need, theres loads of help on the web if you have the patients to search good luck wow such conflicting anwsers!!! betterplay safe
  5. Hello, (ANS) The problem you have here needs to be put into perspective. In a car if you have "any" doubtes about the vehicles ability to brake safely then you need to have the vehicle checked out. You cannot afford to risk your own life, the life of your passengers, & other road users in case the ABS system fails when you actually need it. **If you drive the car as it is may be you'll be lucky & nothing will happen but what if your life depends upon the ABS working?? Can you really afford to take that risk?? **Personally I wouldnt trust the ABS as it is, I would have the car checked over by a good mechanic. But its your life!!!! IR
  6. There may be nothing more than a loose connection somewhere but you can't take a chance with brakes or steering. Get it checked out at a garage. How would you feel if your brakes failed and you ran into someone?
  7. l dont think it`s wise at all.the only thing you can do is to drive your car to the garage to be sorted.lt seems it is something to do with electrics.so get it fixed before the damage gets worse.
  8. No car is safe to drive with a warning lights on ,that is why the lights are there ,get it checked out asap.
  9. Yes and no. The brakes will still work but the ABS function won't.
