- Yea go ahead just make sure you make an abrupt stop in high traffic LMFAO
- No and it is against the law so if a police officer catches you it is a huge fine!!
- if someone rear ends your its your fault
- no its not safe and you will get ticketed for not having them
- its as safe as the driving skills of the driver behind you!
- No, it is totally not safe for other drivers as well!
- do you have life insurance its a no brainer
- No, and a cop will stop you and give you a big fat ticket.
- not for very long. some folks don't understand proper distancing and will rear-end you and have a defendable excuse to put the blame on you.
- NO! And you'll get a ticket.
- No you idiot
- No, not only do you risk being rear-ended. You are putting others in danger. You also risk hefty fines.
- Yes but only if you're not wearing a seat belt.
- It's illegal!
- First, it's illegal. And second, no its not safe. If you are braking the first thing that lets the person behind you know that you are braking is the brake lights. And if you get rear ended you will be at partial fault for the accident. Get them fixed, its better for everyone.
- No. And it is illegal, too.
- no not really, if you do there's a higher chance that someone will rear end you.
- only if you're into tickets, fines and rear-end collisions
- Are all the dummies online today?
- You must be REALLY bored, or just plain senseless. But...two points for me! Thanks!
- NO ! and you can get a ticket... if not killed.. Thanks
- Not even, check the brake light sending unit on the brake pedal arm.Could just be a bad connection,or a fuse.
- I would not consider drining with broken brake lights, due to the fact that it counts as an vehicle citation, but if you're to go somewhere with them broken lights, at least know your hand signals.
- How do you know its only the lights that are broken? could be a symptom of a much bigger problem. You might want to get the whole brake system checked. Hey is that a cliff up ahead...
- No. If the covers are smashed, the lights still might work if you replace the bulbs; in some cases, especially for turn signals you have to have bulbs in all sockets to complete the circuits. The working color of tail lights is an acrylic red. This can be approximated by several layers of florist or gift wrap transparent plastic, taped on so it does not touch the bulb. The cost of replacement light covers at the dealer is ridiculous ($98 dollars for several ounces of plastic) but it is also illegal to operate with clear bulbs visible. Perhaps you can get some from a wrecking yard--they will probably charge half. If you can't wait, you can mount trailer lights on a board and clamp the board to the deck lid opening or the top of the fender, so the lights are approximately in the right place. But you need left and right brake lights and left and right signal lights, and illumination for your license plate. It will simplify your wiring if the bulbs are similar to the originals, and don't forget ground wires.
- Don't go one inch without brake lights. You are asking to get rear ended!!!!!
- No. You may get hit in the rear. In that case, you would be responsible for the accident. Also, if the cops spot it, they'll pull you over and probably not allow you to drive the car without getting it fixed. Had my car towed in Abilene, TX for just that reason in 1980.
- If you have to ask this question I have only this for you .......STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR
- go buy some bulbs like $5 go buy a new car priceless
- No, Get off the rad and fix them. If you can't afford it start walking. Your like one of thos poeple who think turning without a signal is OK.
- no. sorry, but you can get a ticket if your brake lights are not working. its not only dangerous for you but for everyone else around you. i almost got into an accident hitting a car, because the car suddenly slows down and the brake lights didnt even work.
